Claude Code via U-M GPT Toolkit

Note: Claude Code is currently available only to active U-M faculty and staff. Student access may be available at a later date; however, sharing Claude Code with students at this time is not allowed.

Claude Code is a powerful agentic AI coding assistant that works directly within development environments. It can read code, suggest, and make edits, help debug issues, generate tests, and support building new features. Beyond coding, it can connect to the internet for real-time research, interpret UI layouts through vision, and follow structured instructions to complete multi-step tasks.

Claude Code can be used in your terminal and integrated development environment (IDE). U-M AI Services provides access to Claude Code through U-M GPT Toolkit, so you can use Claude Code without managing your own Anthropic account.

Note that there are costs associated with this service, billed through U-M GPT Toolkit. See our Pricing page for more information.
