Maizey Pricing for Academic Canvas Courses
Faculty Access with No Initial Cost: A no cost faculty tier is available, allowing instructors to create a Maizey AI for their courses without requiring a Shortcode. This tier provides a $1,000 allocation per Canvas course, per term, which is designed to cover most usage scenarios.
Maizey Pricing for non-Academic Canvas Courses and all other Maizey Projects
The following summary is intended to provide general cost estimates once the no-cost period expires.
Maizey project costs vary based on the amount of data being indexed and how much use the tool gets (prompts and replies).
- A one sentence prompt (10-12 words) with a paragraph reply (80-100 words), costs less than $0.01.
- A three to four sentence prompt (75 words) with a one page reply (250-300 words), costs about $0.01 - $0.02.
- The current maximum cost for a single prompt and reply is $0.88, which is about 45 pages of text.
Once you’ve created a project, you can view accumulated project costs for the current month or for a custom date range from within your Maizey project.

Maizey Batch Cost Estimates
As a starting point, we estimate a Batch run to cost about $0.20 for a one-page, 10-question review. From there, cost scales with the size of your batch and number of questions.
Maizey Batch runs a set of questions against a group of documents at once, so its cost tracks primarily with three factors:
- how many total pages you're processing
- how many questions you ask per document
- complexity of the page content (dense technical content costs more than simple content)
Important: Every batch is different. Treat these figures as planning estimates, not exact quotes. Test with smaller runs to gauge costs before trying a large run.
