Provide Support

  • Depot Delivery Driver/Imaging Support
    Depot Delivery Drivers deliver needed technology to IT professionals supporting MiWorkspace enrolled departments. A successful candidate will be trustworthy, motivated, self-disciplined, energetic, and capable of operating independently. Technical expertise is not required. Those with aptitude may assist with computer imaging work.
  • MiWorkspace Technical Support
    Information and Technology Services is seeking motivated and hardworking student staff to assist in day-to-day efforts in a Next Gen computing initiative called MiWorkspace. Hires will assist in the development, build, and test of MiWorkspace technology infrastructure.
  • Neighborhood IT Desktop Support
    Provide desktop support in day-to-day efforts in a NextGen computing initiative called MiWorkspace, a project to standardize the university's administrative and academic computer hardware and software environments.
  • Tech Shop Office Assistant
    Assists the Purchasing/Inventory Coordinator with various inventory/clerical related tasks including but not limited to: supplier credit memo reconciliation, supplier return requests, new item number creation, inventory receiving (backup), and product research.
  • Tech Shop Stockkeeper
    Assists the Purchasing/Inventory Administrator with various inventory related tasks including but not limited to: receiving inventory, organizing stock area, fulfilling inventory requests to other Tech Shop locations.

  • Tech Consultant
    The Tech Consultant is responsible for assisting users of Campus Computing Sites in the use of selected information technology resources and services in Angell Hall, Ross Academic Center, Tech Shop - Union, and Tech Shop - Pierpont locations. This will include assistance with the Mac OS and Windows OS environments. A successful candidate will be self-motivated, communicative, outgoing, dependable, and a positive contributor to Campus Computing Sites. Training will be provided, and candidates should be prepared for a continual learning experience.
  • Remote Consultant
    The Remote Consulting team is a customer facing, highly dynamic front line support team responsible for remotely providing user support. Reliable, solution-oriented student staff will excel in this role. Although training will be provided, candidates should be prepared for a continual learning experience and be comfortable partnering with users to solve problems.

Service Computer Hardware

  • Tech Repair — Student Technician
    Student Technicians perform a wide variety of technology troubleshooting and repair-related activities both in a repair shop and on site. They are also responsible for transporting and removal/install of computers and printers in the Campus Computing Sites labs.

Roving Computer and Printer Service

  • Sites Rover
    Rovers are the frontline mobile technicians team for Campus Computing Sites. A successful candidate will be trustworthy, motivated, self-disciplined, energetic, and capable of operating independently. Technical expertise is not required, as long as a candidate demonstrates critical thinking, logical problem solving ability, and a willingness to learn.

Sell Computing Products

  • Tech Shop Sales Consultant
    Tech Shop Sales Consultants assist customers in person and by phone with technology purchase needs. Ideal candidates are customer focused, self-motivated, dependable and able to be a positive contributor to the Tech Shop.
