Provide Support

  • Depot Delivery Drivers deliver needed technology to IT professionals supporting MiWorkspace enrolled departments. A successful candidate will be trustworthy, motivated, self-disciplined, energetic, and capable of operating independently. Technical expertise is not required. Those with aptitude may assist with computer imaging work.
  • Information and Technology Services is seeking motivated and hardworking student staff to assist in day-to-day efforts in MiWorkspace. Hires will assist in the development, building, and testing of MiWorkspace technology.
  • ITS MiWorkspace is seeking responsible students for our Neighborhood IT team. New team members will be responsible for providing outstanding customer service– including technical desktop support–across campus. Team members need a friendly and positive attitude. IT experience preferred but not required.
  • Tech Shop Stockkeepers support purchasing and inventory operations by receiving and organizing stock, reporting ETAs, and fulfilling requests across Tech Shop locations.

Answer IT Questions

  • The Remote Consulting team is a customer facing, highly dynamic front line support team responsible for remotely providing user support. Reliable, solution-oriented student staff will excel in this role. Although training will be provided, candidates should be prepared for a continual learning experience and be comfortable partnering with users to solve problems.
  • The Tech Help Consultant is responsible for assisting users of Campus Computing Sites in the use of selected information technology resources and services at the Angell Hall Computing Site as well as both Tech Shop locations, as well as providing direct customer support for services including poster printing and our laptop loaner programs.

Roving Computer and Printer Service

  • Rovers, mobile technicians who support Campus Computing Sites, require motivation, independence, and problem-solving skills. No prior technical expertise is necessary, just a readiness to learn and think critically.

Service Computer Hardware

  • Student Technicians perform a wide variety of technology troubleshooting and repair-related activities both in a repair shop and on site. They are also responsible for transporting and removal/installation of computers and printers in the Campus Computing Sites labs.

Sell Computing Products

  • Tech Shop Sales Consultants provide expert assistance with technology purchases, ensuring a positive customer experience through various communication channels. Customer-focus and being a dependable team players is vital.
