The ITS Summer Internship Program at the University of Michigan offers an immersive 13-week professional experience designed to help students grow both personally and professionally. The program can be viewed as a guided career exploration opportunity, offering mentorship with IT leaders, professional development, peer collaboration, and hands-on project experience. Students will gain technical and non-technical skills alike.
The summer culminates in a showcase event where interns present their work to the broader Michigan IT community, highlighting what they’ve learned, built, and contributed throughout the summer.
The Internship Program is led by dedicated team of volunteers from within ITS and our campus partner units. The team, in addition with a full-time program coordinator, plan, coordinate, and execute all internship-related programming. Together, we work endlessly to ensure interns, supervisors, mentors, and project sponsors alike have a beneficial and supportive experience.
Who can participate?
Undergraduate students, graduate students, and certificate-seeking learners from all backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
