The eResearch Proposal Management system (eRPM) is updated to Version 9.3 effective October 12, 2026 with several enhancements and bug fixes.
What's New for Unit Research Administrators, Project Teams, and Central Offices
PAF, AWD, AWD-MOD, UFA
- Added a new Special Terms & Condition for AI on proposals, awards, modifications, and some Unfunded Agreements, i.e., DUA, MTA, NDA, Other.
- Artificial Intelligence (AI) Restrictions: “This project includes restrictions or specific requirements around the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Read the terms and conditions for specific guidance.”
- Updated a number of invalid links throughout eRPM forms, activities, help, and email notifications.

SF424 (Grants.gov) 10.10.2
Updated the eRPM SF-424 (Grants.gov) application to the latest version from the vendor on August 31, 2026 (release notes).
- Updated Assurances for Non-Construction Programs (SF-424B) V1.1 forms
- Updated OMB Expiration Dates on several forms, to reflect the most current expiration dates. Note This only displays on the locally generated PDF preview (i.e., the internal file that is not submitted to eRA Commons).

Data Warehouse RS02 Person Detail
Two new indicators have been added to the RS02 Person Detail table in BusinessObjects.
- PEERRS Pre-Submission Complete Indicator is set to ‘True’ when a person has completed the PEERRS modules required before a proposal can be submitted to the sponsor.
- PEERRS Complete Indicator is set to ‘True’ when a person has completed all PEERRS modules required prior to U-M processing an award.
For each project team member, the applicable indicator must be set to ‘True’ before the Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP) can submit a proposal or process an award.

Updates for Central Offices
Conflict of Interest (COI)
- Resolved a cloning issue where the Regental Action Request (RAR) details were being copied into the new PAFs.
- Resolved an issue in M-Inform where the Award was not taking over as the CAR lead project when ICOI/RAR were the only review triggers.
Innovation Partnerships and FOIA Office
Created a new email notification to alert the FOIA office when Innovation Partnerships submits a letter for review and when changes are submitted.
Office of Contract Administration (OCA)
SUBK
- Added validations and displays to complete risk assessments when activating a SUBK or SUBK amendment.
- Added questions and validations to OCA activities to enhance FFATA compliance.
Office of Research and Sponsored Projects (ORSP)
UFA
Updated the Display UFA Summary page to include the new Data Use Agreement question and Non Disclosure Agreement language.
Ironclad
- Fixed a bug with attribute mapping for UFA PI email.
- Fixed an issue where certain fields in IRB and RAR questions were being duplicated.
- Updated the Pre Filled launch form’s Date field format.
