MiWorkspace to test macOS 27 Golden Gate for compatibility with U-M computing environment

Apple’s newest operating system, macOS 27 Golden Gate, will be available to MiWorkspace Mac computers after thorough compatibility testing.

MiWorkspace recommends that faculty and staff with MiWorkspace Mac computers wait until ITS announces full compatibility before installing. Faculty and staff who have an eligible Mac supported by MiWorkspace will receive an email when macOS Golden Gate has been validated.

Windows devices running Windows 11 23H2 can now upgrade the Windows operating system to Windows 11 25H2. Customers with devices that are running Windows 11 23H2 will be prompted to upgrade by June 30, 2026. See instructions for upgrading Windows devices via Software Center.

Windows 11 25H2 is now the default version of Windows for MiWorkspace Windows devices.

Windows devices running Windows 11 23H2 will begin receiving notifications to upgrade the Windows operating system to Windows 11 25H2. Customers with devices that are running Windows 11 23H2 will have the opportunity to upgrade their operating system at any time over the next several months. Windows 11 25H2 is now the default version of Windows for MiWorkspace Windows devices. 

Okta Verify has been deployed to all MiWorkspace managed devices as part of the Wolverine Identify Project. The new Okta Verify application is required to prepare for the upcoming migration from Duo to Okta. Most U-M websites will begin using Okta for multi-factor authentication (MFA) at the end of February.
