macOS Golden Gate 27 is now available for installation on compatible MiWorkspace Macs, with the upgrade rolling out via Managed Software Center this week. You can view instructions for upgrading your Mac operating system.
The new OS has been tested for compatibility with U-M networks, administrative systems, and more than 400 software titles used on MiWorkspace computers.
Users of Final Cut Pro, Logic, Motion, or Compressor should read this notice before upgrading.
To stay compliant with University security policy, MiWorkspace customers must upgrade to macOS 27 (Golden Gate) or macOS 26 (Tahoe) by December 31, 2026. Apple no longer provides full security patches for macOS 15 (Sequoia) or earlier, leaving unsupported systems vulnerable. You can check your operating system to confirm compliance.
