ITS is aware of issues with calls cutting out for a short period of time. Off campus VPN, especially VPN to VPN softphone traffic may encounter compromised audio at times.
There is a known issue with Cisco Jabber for macOS and Windows softphones and the ability to make a conference call.
The approved workaround is to:
- Place the first caller on hold.
- Dial the second caller.
- Merge the calls to create the conference.
Zoom and other other computer applications may conflict with softphone audio. Close down possible conflicting applications & recheck audio settings on the softphone.
