Grants.gov (SF424) Application Enhancements and Changes

Support for Special Characters in SF424 Applications

Submitting an application that contains a special character (e.g. umlauts, accent marks, or tildes used in names) will soon be fully supported in eRPM. This update will occur over two separate releases. In the first release, released July 22, 2017, a check will be completed on the “Validate Submission” activity to inform you if a special character was included in the application. The special character will need to be removed from the application. In the second release, scheduled for late summer 2017, the same check for a special character will be completed, but you will be given a choice to either include the special character in the application or to remove it.
