Animal Handling Details

On the Add/View Animal Handling Details and Add/View Animal Handling Details (Original Method) pages, several questions have been added and revised:

• If your Protocol indicates the use of radioactive materials, all Personnel are now required to indicate whether they will be working with radioactive materials within any applicable animals. At least one Personnel must be identified as working with radioactive materials within animals.
• If your Protocol indicates recovery surgery, all Personnel are now required to indicate whether they are assisting only with the surgery or performing it independently within any applicable animals. At least one Personnel must be identified as performing the surgery independently (not assisting).
• The exposure to hazards question has been further clarified to specify whether Personnel are being exposed to hazards in animal containment housing rooms.

Breeding Sheets

The ULAM Breeding Sheet name has been updated and renamed to ULAM “Barcode Activation Sheet.” Breeding Stickers” will be referred to as “Barcode Sticker Sheet.”
