Alumni
As a U-M graduate, you receive alumni status automatically. When your department no longer lists you as Active in Program, you will no longer be able to use the ARC computing services listed below.
Refer to the ITS Alumni Computing Services page for a list of U-M computing services you keep as alumni.

Retirees
As a University of Michigan retiree, you will no longer be able to use some U-M computing services. Refer below for a summary of the ARC computing services you keep and lose as a retiree.

Special Circumstances
Alumni and retirees who need to continue working with ARC services and are going to be working with a Principal Investigator (PI) on campus or remotely should ask their PI for sponsored affiliate status. This allows access to ARC services through the UMVPN.
