What is your dream job after college?
My dream job post-graduation is to work in robotics or embedded systems at the intersection of technology and environmental justice.
What has been your favorite part of the internship thus far?
Definitely the retreats every Wednesday, it's a chance to connect with other interns in the cohort and I always learn something new.
What skills are you hoping to gain or build by the end of this internship in August?
I hope to build more confidence in leadership and public speaking, since those are things that don't come naturally to me and that I want to work on.
What assumptions did you have coming into the internship program?
I assumed that in a remote internship it would be harder to meet new people, but I have found the opposite to be true! I have more opportunities to reach out to people outside of my team and outside of my projects because there are fewer barriers to meeting virtually.
What has been your favorite part about working from home?
My favorite part is that I have the company of my family so when I get stressed out or anxious I am better at taking breaks to check in on them during the workday. I also enjoy the time I get back from not having to commute to and from work.
