Supervisor - Coach - Mentor Support

To ensure support for our interns, we developed a system where every intern is assigned a supervisor, coach, and mentor, each with distinct responsibilities:

Role Responsibilities
Supervisor (from your team)
  • Hold weekly meetings with interns
  • Approve bi-weekly WA timesheet
  • Conduct mid-point and final performance evaluations
  • Provide guidance & feedback
  • Meet with Planning Team bi-weekly
Coaches (from your team)
  • Can be the same person as supervisor
  • Meet with interns daily and provide day-to-day direction (optional)
  • Maintain assignment sheet and deliverable list
  • Point to resources & training
  • Serve as first line for escalation of questions and issues
Mentors (from the program)
  • Meet with interns weekly or bi-weekly
  • Address career questions
  • Offer guidance for long-term professional development

Candidate Selection

  • The planning team is dedicated to helping you with candidate selection while managing the large volume of applicants efficiently.
  • In February, our team will personally review all applicants and create a short-listed spreadsheet categorized by job categories.
  • Hiring managers will then receive the spreadsheet for their job categories, enabling them to select candidates for interviews.

Interview Process

  • Interviews are typically scheduled for March and conducted via Zoom.
  • To support hiring managers during this process, we provide resources like interview guidelines and notes containing standard program questions and any specific questions you wish to include.
  • After interviews, hiring managers can decide their top choices.
  • By April, offer letters will be sent out to selected interns.
