- Use the ITS Web Hosting Services Portal to create and update website details.
- Provide a valid Shortcode to rebill Pantheon website costs.
- Provide and maintain a valid MCommunity Group for each website. See MCommunity Group Roles and Permissions for U-M Pantheon Websites
- Assign or change Pantheon plan for each website based on expected monthly traffic. See U-M Pantheon Pricing.
- Either directly or through a web agency:
- Provide themes/templates/designs.
- Develop, test, and maintain web content.
- Migrate websites from other web hosting providers to U-M Pantheon.
- Move websites off U-M Pantheon to a different web hosting provider.
- Ensure websites meet university accessibility requirements.
- Keep websites updated in terms of software updates. See Pantheon’s Autopilot. Send an email to [email protected] to turn on Autopilot.
- Comply with university data management and security policies, particularly in regard to sensitive data.
- Ensure backups are enabled and scheduled. See introduction to backups.
- Decommision and delete websites when they are no longer needed, after archiving the site and its data as appropriate.
ITS
- Support website owners with U-M integrations, service plans, and billing.
- Manage vendor relationship with Pantheon.
- Provide a self-service portal for automatic provisioning of websites.
- Integrate with the U-M IT environment.
- Provide security and accessibility scanning.
- Maintain the Secure Tunnel between U-M and Pantheon.
- Provide monthly website traffic reports.
- Bill Units for monthly website usage.
Pantheon
- Website hosting for WordPress and Drupal websites.
- Provide website owners with 24x7 enterprise support (Pantheon Diamond support plan) for WordPress, Drupal, and all Pantheon-related features except service plans and billing.
- Maintain the Secure Tunnel between Pantheon websites and U-M.
