The university recently executed an Enterprise Services Agreement and a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) to offer Google Cloud Platform (GCP) at U-M. GCP lets you build and host applications and websites, store data, and analyze data on Google's scalable infrastructure. GCP is integrated into the ability to create Google “projects,” including those that use Google APIs. Features offered for Google Cloud Platform at U-M include:
- University Enterprise Agreement
Replaces the Click-through agreement and provides more protections to the university and to the faculty and staff who use GCP. - Preconfigured Security/Networking/Reporting/Logging
- Shortcode Billing
Allows university Shortcodes to be used in paying for GCP. - Virtual Private Network (VPN)
- U-M Single Sign-On
- U-M Negotiated Pricing (UMICH login required)
- Data Egress Waiver
