What Information We Collect
ITS AI Workflows captures some information about you automatically when you use the service. Automatically collected information may include:
- The Internet domain you use
- Your device’s IP address
- Your Internet Service Provider
- The type of browser
- The date and time of visit
- Information about your role at the U-M and other employee and student data related to your U-M access credentials.
- Connect external services (nodes) to your workflows, we collect information regarding those connections. This includes authentication status, service-specific identifiers, and metadata required to maintain the link between ITS AI Workflows and the third-party provider.
- Data generated during the execution of your workflows, including information from integrated third-party services (e.g., email, calendar, or cloud storage). This includes execution logs, metadata about the data processed, and any information returned by the third-party node necessary to complete the workflow.
- Crash reports and debugging logs
How We Use Personal Information
The University of Michigan uses information about your interactions with ITS AI Workflows to:
- Provide service support, respond to questions about using ITS AI Workflows, and troubleshoot issues.
- Monitor service performance and make improvements to functionality and user experience.
- Enforce Workflow execution limitations and enable internal billing.

With Whom We Share Personal Information
We do not sell or license your personal information. To operate the ITS AI Workflows, however, we must share your prompt data with Microsoft Azure Services that hosts the service.
We require U-M’s service providers to keep your personal information secure and do not allow them to use or share it for any purpose other than providing services on our behalf.
We may share your personal information when required by law, or when we believe sharing will help to protect the safety, property, or rights of U-M, members of the U-M community, and U-M guests.
