Getting Started With Payment Card Assurance

Merchants who want to accept credit card payments first work with Merchant Services in the Treasurer’s Office to review their needs and responsibilities. Merchants then have the option of using ITS Payment Card Assurance (PCA) services, which consist of Payment Card Industry (PCI)-compliant infrastructure and equipment, to set up their credit card-processing system.

PCA MiServer

Submit a MiServer request and indicate the server is for a PCI-compliant system. ITS will notify you when the server is ready for delivery. Costs and delivery schedules are detailed on the MiServer Rates & Billing page. New Managed OS MiServers can be on the PCA infrastructure.

PCA MiDatabase

Submit a MiDatabase request and indicate the database is for a PCI-compliant system. ITS will notify you when the database is ready for delivery. Costs and delivery schedules are detailed on the MiDatabase Rates & Pricing page.

PCA Workstation

Contact the ITS PCA Merchant Support group. The PCA team will send estimates and hardware specifications. If approved, provide a Shortcode and ITS will procure the hardware and notify you when the workstation is ready for delivery.

PCA VPN

Connecting to a PCA MiServer is done through the PCA VPN while on a wired connection to the U-M network. Wireless connections are not supported. Download and Install the PCA VPN client.
