Internet Explorer 11 Upgrade Coming Soon on October 2

This information was emailed on September 21, 2015, to all faculty and staff who have a MiWorkspace Windows device.

Internet Explorer (IE) will be upgraded to version 11 on Friday, October 2 for most MiWorkspace Windows computers. U-M research, teaching, and administration systems are compatible with IE 11 and other major browsers. For more information, view the ITS Web Browser and Desktop Operating System Support page.

If you use an application that may not be compatible with IE 11, please contact the ITS Service Center before Monday, September 28. You can be excluded from the update if the application is also not compatible with other browsers.

All bookmarks, plugins, and home pages will remain intact after the update, but you will need to reset certain settings (e.g., toolbars). You will receive an email with additional details when the update is released on October 2.

Visit the Microsoft Support site for basic information on IE 11.
