To members of the research community,
eResearch systems have supported U-M's research endeavors for the past decade, including more than $2 billion in expenditures for FY24. However, as shared in September 2024, the vendor's support for the current platform is ending, and all eResearch systems will be replaced by 2031.
As we prepare for this transition, we value your insights and experience on what works well and what could be improved in the current systems. Additionally, we seek your concerns regarding the shift to new solutions.
We understand that this is a busy and uncertain time for many, in light of evolving national policy developments regarding federal changes and the various ways it affects our community. Nonetheless, your input remains as important as ever.

Your responses will remain confidential and be used by the project team to inform the planning process. Your input will be essential for our upcoming Request for Information (RFI) process, which will help us gather information on potential vendors and their capabilities in the market. The RFI process precedes the Request for Proposal (RFP) phase. Key partners from the research community will have opportunities to participate in vendor demonstrations. More information will be shared as details are finalized.
