Simply Voting is a secure, cloud-based online election platform that helps University of Michigan units administer elections and allows eligible voters to cast ballots electronically. It can support elections such as student government contests, faculty or staff governance elections, committee selections, and other university voting activities. There are two primary components:
Election administration lets authorized administrators create elections, design ballots, establish voting periods, manage eligible-voter lists, monitor participation, and publish or export results. Depending on the election’s configuration, administrators can also send voting notifications and reminders.
Online voting provides eligible voters with a straightforward web interface for reviewing ballot information and submitting their selections. Elections can be configured to protect ballot secrecy while ensuring that each eligible voter votes only as permitted.
Because Simply Voting is a hosted service, election organizers do not need to install or maintain local voting software. The platform centralizes election management, supports multiple ballot formats, and streamlines vote tabulation and reporting.
