Overview

Offered at no cost to users, the Electronic Research Notebook (ERN) is a secure, digital tool that accelerates research and allows researchers to enjoy the benefits, efficiencies, and long-term cost savings of centralized, paperless data storage. It also aids in lab management, protects Intellectual Property (IP), provides secure collaboration, and offers simple sample tracking.

Notebooks owned by someone at U-M may be shared with staff at other institutions of higher education.

Note: ERN is NOT ITAR compliant.
