Troubleshooting Mail Delivery

There are several reasons why mail sent to addresses might not reach the final destinations:

  • Bad behavior by the sending host. This blocking is done at U-M's primary mail gateway for all mail going through that gateway.
  • Optional spam blocking. Users may choose to have mail from known spam sources blocked.

Troubleshooting Tools

  • Block Status Check
    Use the Block Status Check tool to find out if a particular IP address, e-mail address, or domain is currently blocked.
