M-Inform is updated effective July 1, 2026 to Version 11.0 with minor enhancements for FY27 and some bug fixes.

Minor text and formatting changes to improve clarity. 

  • Investigators may need to re-answer this updated question to ensure accuracy.
    • Question 3.1 Do you have any active federally funded (e.g., NIH, NSF, DOE, NASA, DOD, etc.) awards (direct or prime funding) OR have you submitted, or do you plan to submit a proposal for federal funding during the current fiscal year (July 1 - June 30)?  [Yes/No]
  • Updated four M-Inform system email notifications sent to disclosers and updated the standard M-Inform email footer.

Company Profile

  • Added and updated U-M Company Contact questions to represent a broader group of employees and students. Investigators may need to answer new questions during the Company Profile review.
    • Question 4: Is this person a U-M student, trainee, staff or other non-faculty employee?
  • Updated the initial Company Profile email to be more intuitive.
  • Created new email reminders to be sent at 7, 14, 21 days to the Company Contact with a final reminder on the 28th day to the Company Contact and the COI Staff owner. The new reminders will help COI teams collaborate and ensure compliance with COI Management Plan requirements.
