Upgrade Older OS X versions to El Capitan (10.11) on MiWorkspace Macs

This information was emailed on February 10, 2016, to faculty and staff who have MiWorkspace Macs running OS X versions older than 10.9.

If you have a MiWorkspace Mac computer running a OS X version older than Mavericks (10.9), please upgrade to the latest operating system, OS X El Capitan (10.11). Versions older than Mavericks are no longer supported by Apple. By upgrading to the newest OS, your MiWorkspace Mac will continue to receive Apple's essential updates and security patches.

OS X El Capitan is available as an optional download in the Managed Software Center. Bookmarks, favorites, and other customized settings will not change during the upgrade. View instructions and additional information about updating your operating system.

Contact the ITS Service Center if you have concerns about compatibility with OS X El Capitan. Visit Apple’s website to learn more about OS X El Capitan features.
