Apple recently announced the upcoming release of macOS Monterey (version 12). MiWorkspace expects to conclude compatibility testing and, if no issues are found, make Monterey available in Managed Software Center on November 5, 2021.
MiWorkspace strongly recommends that faculty and staff with MiWorkspace Mac computers wait until the optional upgrade is available in the Managed Software Center before installing. Faculty and staff who have an eligible Mac supported by MiWorkspace will receive an email when macOS Monterey is available in the Managed Software Center.
Each new operating system is tested to make sure it works with U-M research, administrative, teaching and learning applications, and more than 550 software titles on MiWorkspace computers.
