The update to macOS Mojave (version 10.14 and 10.14.1) is delayed on MiWorkspace Macs due to an issue that prevents using newly updated UMICH (Level-1) passwords to log in to the device. The issue was discovered during compatibility testing, and the MiWorkspace engineering team is working with Apple to resolve the issue.
As soon as the issue is resolved, macOS Mojave will be added in the Managed Software Center as an optional update. MiWorkspace recommends that faculty and staff with MiWorkspace Mac computers wait until the optional upgrade is available in the Managed Software Center before installing. Faculty and staff who have an eligible Mac supported by MiWorkspace will receive an email when macOS Mojave is available in the Managed Software Center.
MiWorkspace thoroughly tests new operating systems to ensure compatibility with U-M research, administrative, teaching and learning applications, and more than 550 software titles on MiWorkspace computers.
