The newest Mac operating system upgrade, macOS Sierra (version 10.12), is available in the MiWorkspace Managed Software Center as an optional upgrade on October 6.
If you have a MiWorkspace-supported Mac computer running an operating system older than OS El Capitan (10.11), we strongly recommend upgrading to macOS Sierra. Apple typically does not provide security updates and patches for older operating systems.
macOS Sierra was tested for compatibility with U-M networks, administrative systems, and more than 550 software titles on MiWorkspace machines. Please contact the ITS Service Center before upgrading if you use one of the following applications:
- Adobe Creative Cloud
- LibreOffice
- OpenOffice
- Rhino 3D
- Spartan 14
- All AVID products, including Sibelius, ProTools, and Media Composer
- Fujitsu ScanSnap document scanners
- Suitcase Fusion
- LabVIEW (32-bit version)
- Carbon Copy Cloner
