Google Drive File Stream is available as an optional download in the MiWorkspace Software Center for Windows computers. Google Drive File Stream is a desktop application that allows you to access your Google Drive from your computer. Learn more about Google Drive File Stream.
With Google Drive File Stream, you can:
- See your Google Drive files in Windows Explorer (including Team Drives).
- Browse and organize Google Drive files without downloading them to your computer.
- Choose files or folders to be available offline later.
- Open files in common apps like Microsoft Office and Adobe Photoshop.
Google is ending support for Google Drive Sync, a similar desktop application, in May. If you have Google Drive Sync on your computer, it will be uninstalled when Google Drive File Stream is installed.
Google Drive File Stream will be available for MiWorkspace Macs later this month, following successful beta testing.
See MiWorkspace: Install Software/Manage Updates (Windows) for instructions to use the MiWorkspace Software Center for Windows.
