Meet Robert Dunne

My name is Robert Dunne, and I’m currently a third-year Computer Science major at Grand Valley State University.

After being accepted into the ITS Internship program, I was placed in the MiWorkspace unit where I conduct quality assurance testing on packaged applications before they’re released to the end users. This includes working with SCCM on Windows platforms, using our proprietary program called Izzy on Mac platforms, and testing existing packages on new operating systems such as Windows 8.1 and OSX 10.11. After we QA the software, the changes are approved and pushed out weekly every Thursday.

My cohort project is a bit different than the others. I work with Margaret Ehinger on the ScheduleMe application, which is a web-app that was already in development by Prateek Sachdeva. Instead of creating something from the ground-up, we went into something already well-established and were able to get experience with AngularJS, GitHub, and the project management and communication methods of Prateek’s team. Since starting, we have helped out with small parts of large changes to the site, including a full redesign and new optional schedule filters.
