What has been your favorite part of the internship thus far?
Being able to work on multiple projects and apply different skills to each. I have found the skills I acquired through courses to be helpful here, including graphic design, web design, needs assessment and usability evaluation etc.
What skills are you hoping to gain or build by the end of this internship in August?
- Conducting effective user research to inform design decisions with limited resources
- Proficiency in generating and modifying prototypes according to usability tests
- Working in teams and collaborating with members of different roles
What assumptions did you have coming into the internship program?
I expected the projects to be challenging and fun but thought the work environment would be more rigid. It turned out that the project part was as expected but the work culture here is more energetic and flexible than I imagined.
What is your favorite flavor of ice cream?
Vanilla
