Telephone line options that campus can request on basic and electronic sets:

Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) Line — ACD is a software feature for traditional telephone lines that distributes incoming calls equally to contact center agents and holds calls in queue.

Fax/Modem Line — a standard line with the Cutoff on Disconnect feature.

Internal Line — a line assigned to a courtesy phone or a secondary line on a multi-line set. They do not receive calls from outside the university phone system, and need to be programmed to allow external dialing.

Multiple Appearance Director Number (MADN) Line — a line which allows a university number to ring in multiple locations on campus simultaneously.

Private Business Line — an externally generated phone line that is routed over outside plant telephone cables.

800 Service (forwarded to a university line) — routes a toll-free line to a university telephone. Provides long distance callers the option of contacting an individual or unit without toll charges.
