ITS Digital Accessibility Strategic Project: Phase 1

ITS DL Replacement Project

The Distribution Layer (DL) Upgrade Project will replace the Distribution Layer (DL) Switch(es) in 180 buildings across the Ann Arbor campus to enable the capability for any of these buildings to connect to the upgraded network at 100 Gbps.

ITS Jira Retirement and Archive Viewer Development

The ITS instance of Jira lives on Michigan Medicine (MiMed) servers and is fully managed by MiMed. MiMed is retiring the servers in mid-February 2024 because Jira now has a cloud product. ITS Service Assessments Process Implementation Project

MACC Data Center Network Replacement

Michigan Medicine Clinically Integrated Supply Chain

Michigan Medicine has received approval to move forward with their Value Margin Initiative (VMI) for Supply Chain Processes. Three items related to this multifaceted effort involve technology components. Deliverables for this effort are closely tied to the FIN 9.2 upgrade. Modernize Student Admissions Data Loads

There are a number of admissions data loads that need to be converted to Oracle's newer CTM technology; most notably the graduate programs that use the CollegeNet application. This project will move the last two graduate admissions loads to this new technology. The risk of not doing is that Oracle could discontinue support for the old/current process at their discretion.

ITS is in the process of buying one last round of enterprise storage that should last 5-6 years. At the end of that time, we will not want to purchase that storage again.
AFS uses enterprise storage, so this project will plan how we will retire AFS and move existing users to new services over the next 5-6 years.
Phase 1 is focused on unsponsored Alumni and Retirees.
