Alternative Services

ITS offers many alternative solutions for your site. The solutions listed below are fully supported by ITS.  Other solutions (such as Dropbox, OneDrive, iCloud and Evernote) may meet your needs, but are not approved for any sensitive data and ITS is unable to provide assistance with questions or issues encountered (this includes instances of data loss, corruption or exposure).

We will support any units or individuals who are interested in moving materials from CTools Project Sites to one of these alternatives. Just contact us!

Need some help deciding what your best options are?  Try the CTools Project Sites Alternatives Wizard.

Prior to adding files or folders to any of these options, be sure to consult the Sensitive Data Guide to make informed decisions about where to safely store and share university data.

Google Drive or Team Drive? Team Drive is a feature of Google Drive that allows groups of colleagues to access, create, store, search, and collaborate on team-owned files.  Team drives are owned by the university, so even if team members leave, content stays available to the remaining team members.
