Michigan Medicine is increasing security for wired networks to limit access to devices configured with a specific security protocol. As of Monday, August 7, MiWorkspace computers in the following units are configured to connect to the Michigan Medicine wired network: School of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, University Health Service, Business Engagement Center, Office of Research, and the Office of Technology Transfer.

If you belong to different unit and are required to connect your MiWorkspace computer to a wired network at Michigan Medicine, request the additional security protocol by contacting the ITS Service Center.

For wireless access at Michigan Medicine locations, please continue to use MWireless-UMHS. You should not install AirWatch on your MiWorkspace computer.

Reminder for Connecting Personal Devices to Michigan Medicine Networks
Personally-owned devices, including smartphones, laptops, and tablets, must be enrolled in AirWatch to connect to the UMHS-8021X wireless network. Visit the AirWatch information page for more information and self-enrollment instructions. For assistance with AirWatch, visit a Health Information Technology & Services (HITS) Help Me Now location or contact the HITS Service Desk at 734-936-8000.
