Any device connected to the network may send documents to any printer managed by MPrint.
Printing Methods
Follow Me
Follow Me offers both on-demand and secure printing by sending your job to the "Follow Me" queue. Jobs remain in the "Follow Me" queue for up to 24 hours, or until you release them, whichever comes first. To release your document, swipe your Mcard (or type in your uniqname and UMICH (Level-1) password) at any multifunction device with an attached card reader.
MPrint
MPrint is U-M's web-based printing application, which allows campus community members to print from any computer to a networked campus printer without installing drivers.
Advanced functions such as stapling and hole-punch are not currently available via the MPrint web application. Please install the printer, or Follow Me, to take advantage of a device's advanced features.
Printer Options
Scan & Fax
Campus multifunction printers can scan documents to send to any email address. Some multifunction printers are also able to fax documents, and can be used remotely.
Finishing Options
Some multifunction printers can three-hole punch or staple documents. Contact the ITS Service Center to find out if printers near you have these finishing options.
These options are available when printing directly to a printer and when using Follow Me printing.
Cancel Print Job
Stop your print job before the printer finishes printing. This feature is only available for Windows machines.
