The university negotiates an agreement with Microsoft Corporation that allows the distribution of commonly used Microsoft products at significantly reduced costs. The current Microsoft Campus Agreement is in effect from December 1, 2014, through November 30, 2017. Campus-licensed software is coordinated through Software Licensing and Distribution.

Where to Purchase Discounted Microsoft Software
Students, faculty, and staff can purchase Microsoft products at great savings for use on their personal computers as long as they are performing university business. You must purchase Microsoft software at your primary campus:
- Ann Arbor: Purchase select Microsoft products at the Computer Showcase for Windows and Mac. Online software orders can be shipped, and in some cases, electronic delivery may be available.

U-M departments can purchase licenses for these products through the ITS Software Licensing and Distribution.
